Im not sure why everybody is so excited aboutthis app. I tested it in a cloudy day, not even a bright sunny day, and I was not able to see anything projected on the windshield other than a shadow. Really bad

I like it mostly. It is a speedometer though so we know it works with GPS satellites. So why have such a ridiculously big useless image taking up scream real estate? Also, whats up with the leafs? Something else useless to take up screen. Get rid of the leafs and satellite and replace with a smaller, less distracting signal meter if you think there needs to be one. I personally could care less about the signal till I dont have one. Then let me know. Otherwise, useless. You could use the screen space saved to make the speed font slightly larger. Which is what a speedometer app is all about anyway.

Great for drivers with German cars as the oem spedo typically reads 3-5% faster than actual speed. This app confirms that & gives you your real speed.

Should make it available for iPod Touch. I have a bluetooth GPS receiver connected to my touch so I can use the iPod as a gps device. But iTunes wont let me instal this app because its not compatible with my iPod (the new white one). So it would be nice if this was compatible with the iPod touch. Sounds like a very good app though.

It technically does work , but the Gps and the actual speed seems to be way out of sync .. Do love the concept though of this app .. Read all my reviews on crosswa.lk ..

This is a fantastic app! The only compliant I have is the slight "shadow" behind the numbers when using it in HUD mode but that could just be part of using the iPhone as a heads up display. No ads and the free version has all the features I want with the only difference in the paid version being different display layouts. Excellent interface. My other suggestion: - make it run in the background (not the gps just the app) so that it starts up quicker when switching to it. - non iPod specific audio control so I can control pandora and whatnot with it

I like this app, and I use it alot. It would be cool if it would work on the Ipad.

IPhone 4, 5.0.1 fw. It doesnt work, showing either "no signal", or flowing sat waves, but not showing speed. Any other software finds satellites instantly.

Ok so I gave the app 4 stars for greatness, but the other star is missing because I got a ticket today for 67-55 when it says I was doing 62, this is gonna cost a lot by the time its said and done, hey app maker wanna pay my ticket for me?

GPS measures your speed as an average of samples, and does not take into account altitude changes. Like this, you drive around a curve, GPS samples your position at two points on that curve and returns your speed as a function of time between points... Rather than actual distance traversed... The result? HUD shows a speed SLOWER than your actual speed.... Your " as the crow flys" speed between two points... Not the speed you actually had to have on the longer path of the curve. So... Do not rely on this as an accurate speed indicator... Your cars speedometer on the dash is always going to be more accurate as it samples speed continuously. GPS only produces an average speed across the surface of the earth... Not absolute speed at any moment.

This is exceptional! For those complaining, I can only advise: This is not some multi thousand dollar government app. Read the description. As for calculation of speed: see my previous statement. Further more, speeds are calculated FINE in turns and straight always. The Haversine formula to compensate for Earths curvature is not needed as we are gravity bound: point to point divided by time = speed... Even with curves. There will always be a lag because as an Apple Developer, yes, calculations can run every freaking fraction of a second, but expect your battery to die in 30 minutes. Dont like it: write your own app. Enough said to the haters and speeders who depend on a phone app like it was a cardiac tool. Geesh. Keep up the good work on this app!!!

Very cool speed app. Lots of nice features. LOVE to see this feature added to the app in the future: max speed. Max speed displays the fastest the car has traveled either while the app is running or in the background. As long as the apps shortcut doesnt get deleted, the app will record and post the "max" speed the car has traveled.

Works fine. Stable. 2 years and still no retina graphics? Not that time consuming to do...

Put on a dash sticky pad and at night works great AND it plays your iPod!!!! Totally awesome!!!!
